Ms. Marvel Campaign

A young and buzzy social campaign for Disney Plus’ marvel series, Ms. Marvel.

Overview

Over the summer of 2022, I interned with the Walt Disney Studios. One of the large projects that I worked on during my time there was the social campaign for Ms. Marvel. My internship occurred throughout the entire series. During the premiere I sat at the step-and-repeat to capture photos of the cast. Those photos were used for Instagram stories and the show’s twitter. Then throughout the campaign I kept tabs on what fans were saying and trends that relate to the show. Additionally, I provided insight and edit suggestions for organic social pieces.

Objectives

Ms. Marvel introduced Kamala Khan into the MCU, and it was our job to demonstrate the humor and relatability of the show. We also wanted to highlight the similarities between the show and the comics for any previous fans of the content. We wanted the account to begin conversations surrounding the culture, story, and impact of the show.

Results

During the campaign, I contributed to posts that emphasized scenes from the show and cast BTS. These posts were shared on Ms. Marvel’s instagram, twitter, and facebook with slight alterations to make them match the platform’s needs. Throughout all the platforms the posts received 1.15M impressions. I created 10 posts for Instagram, @msmarvelofficial, which gained 1.1 M likes.
