The CW Network Social Pitch

I created a social media pitch for the TV network, The CW. The goal was to understand the brand and give strong and specific suggestions that could bring their socials to the next level. 

Research

To gain a strong overall picture of the brand and current situation, I started with research. I spent time looking at brand history, current paid campaigns, organic content, competition, and determined the target and secondary market. 

This research helped me identify the brand’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth. Their strength includes having strong followings on major accounts such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The network has a large passionate fan base that is active on social media. Plus they have a large catalog of content including current and past shows. 

Their main weakness includes a lack of awareness about their newer shows. Additionally their recent posts have experienced a decline in engagement. This is likely due to their lack of creative and original social pieces that entertain in addition to informing. Their main opportunities include growing their Tik Tok channel, creating posts along popular trends, and adding humor to their tone. 

The overall goal of this campaign is to strengthen audience knowledge of current shows to increase overall viewership numbers. I will do this by transforming the network’s social content by adding creative and engaging content pieces that gain attention and lead to conversions.

Deliverables

During my pitch, I provide SMART goals to help provide guidance. Additionally, I created a social calendar with examples of creative posts and captions that are more engaging than the current content. I provide guidance for paid marketing posts and strong influencers to partner with to improve awareness.
